The eruption has impacted history, and the economy. Pompeii has approximately 2.5 million visitors every year.
I believe that though I have come to learn more about Pompeii and its destruction, my original question has limitless scenarios that can only truly be answered by those who lived it.
It changed civilization depending on the location of the city and where it stood in relation to Vesuvius. Even though the answer to this question has narrowed down, new questions surface:
What if the eruption in 79 AD had never happened?
How would it had affected language?
How would it effect us today?
